July 4 - more in Paris

Today we headed to a restaurant called Breakfast in America!  A normal American breakfast was needed.  Hard to find a place that has normal eggs and bacon with toast in Paris.  Mostly croissants for breakfast - at peasant the places that we had looked.

Then it was off to the Champs-Élysées for a tour up the Arc de Triomphe.  More walking and more stairs going round and round.

The views from the top of the Arc de Triomphe were spectacular.  It is so amazing to see how the roads spoke out from the Arc!  In every direction there are roads connecting to the Arc just like a spoke of a wheel.

Once we were finished with visiting the Arc we strolled down the Champs-Élysées and decided to stop for some pastries at Pierre Herme who is recognized as one of the top desert chefs in the world.  Amazing!!!

Leaving to go back to the hotel for a brief rest and shower before we headed out to our dinner cruise on the Seine.  Jody made all the reservations and did an amazing job finding the best experience in Paris besides all the tourist attractions.  To relax and enjoy some of the best food I have had in a very long time with great friends was amazing!

After getting off our dinner cruise we spent some time taking pictures of the Eiffel Tower at night - words can not explain the pictures.  Unbelievable experience!  Thank you Connie for suggesting that we go early and tour Paris before heading out on our European Posse Ride - this pre-ride I will never forget!
